Convertible top will not retrack. I had the trunk open and began putting the top down. the roof lid became wedged between the open trunk. I manually pulled them apart. So when I tried to put the top down again the bottom part of the convertible top became stuck on the trunk lid. now the trunk lid dosn't stand up all the way, like it use to. so
Hold the flap down on passenger side to access trunk and reset motors making sure you hear a loud click from each. Then while holding the "up" button down, turn on the key 2 clicks. There is an eternity before the flap actually starts to close and then re-opens as the the top starts to close properly.
2) Release windshield latch and push back to the first detent. 3) Get out of the car and raise the rear window portion up while simultaneously reaching in and unlocking the tonneau. 4) While holding the top up, raise the tonneau cover up. 5) Release the back of the top and it will drop into the compartment.

gfb-bmw. 19 posts · Joined 2011. #11 · Dec 23, 2011. Pull the back seat see if water is in the seat wells, dry that out if its wet. Next check the compartment where the top is stored. There are two drains near the front on each side make sure they are clear. You will need to put the top half way down.
